The Royal Australian Mint’s Australian Dolphin Series continues with this third design in the series. This .999 fine silver coin features the Fraser’s dolphin (also called the Sarawak dolphin) which is a marine animal that plays in deep waters around Australia.
The design features two Fraser’s Dolphins leaping out of the ocean waters side by side as the sun rises behind them. Their name “Fraser’s Dolphin” and the silver attributes “1 oz .999 Fine Silver” encircle the dolphin scene.
As with all legal currency in Australia, the obverse features Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem. Encircling her portrait are “ELIZABETH II” “AUSTRALIA 2021” and “5 DOLLARS”.
