The Royal Mint has once again produced a stunning silver coin, this time bringing to life the 10 beasts of the Royal tree while honouring the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
When the Queen was crowned in 1953, ten beastly statues were stationed at the entrance to Westminster Abbey, the royal church in the centre of London, England. Today you can finally bring the pageantry of this momentous occasion home with one silver 2 ounce coin.
Acclaimed designer Jody Clarke took on the task of combining all 10 beasts on a single side of this coin, and has done so with excellence never before seen. The strength and courage of each beast is conveyed in clean, bold lines, while the silver coin edge is reeded to provide further definition.
