The Royal Mint’s Great Engravers Collection continues with “The Three Graces”, a modern interpretation by the Royal Mint in honour of the mint’s engraver William Wyon who first created this design in the early 1800s. Skilfully reinterpreted, modern striking techniques breathe new life into his masterpiece. The Three Graces originate in Greek mythology, which Wyon borrowed from to honour the countries of Ireland, England and Scotland. This one-ounce gold bar design has an illustration of three women wearing long, flowing Greek attire, standing in a temple with pillars and a shimmering sunrise.
The reverse features the stunning Royal Mint logo, the gold bar’s weight (one ounce), the gold purity (999.9) and the metal type (gold). The temple pattern on the obverse is replicated here in the background. Own a piece of British history and Greek mythology with this one-ounce gold bar – only 3,000 are available outside of the United Kingdom. Be sure to collect all of the bars in “The Great Engravers” selection by the Royal Mint.
