Commemorating the 200th anniversary of Napoleon Bonaparte’s Death, the one-ounce Saint Helena Napoleon Angel silver coin honours the great leader and what he did for his country.
The reverse side of the coin has an angel standing next to the grave of Napoleon in Les Invalides. She has one hand touching the top of the tombstone which has a large “N” denoting Napoleon’s name. The circumference of the coin includes a logo of the East India Company, olive branches (representing peace), “ONE OUNCE”, “ANGEL” and the coin’s purity, “999 SILVER”.
The obverse side of the coin shows a right majestic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. This particular portrait was designed by Raphael Maklouf, and you can see his initials on the Queen’s neck. The year, face value, country and Her Royal Majesty’s name are also included.
