This one-ounce gold coin features the famous Britannia, proudly standing guard over the British Empire. The coin bears a face value of 100 British pounds and is struck with 999.9 pure gold, crafted by the world-class trusted mint with more than 1,000 years of experience, the Royal Mint.
The reverse of this coin, designed by the award-winning medalist Philip Nathan, features Britannia in all of her glory. The female warrior has exquisite detail in her flowing gown, trident, shield and olive branch, standing in front of a beautiful pattern symbolizing the seas around the British Isles. Below her is etched the designer’s name.
The obverse of this coin features Jody Clark’s well-loved representation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the King George IV State Diadem atop her head with intricate details in her hair, eyes, and earrings.
