The U.S. Mint has had large demand for its American Silver Eagle coins since they debuted in 2008. This continued into 2013 with the record 42.6 million coins sold. Due to increasing demand, the San Francisco Mint began coining the American Silver Eagle coins.
The coin features Lady Liberty walking toward the sunrise. The words “LIBERTY” stretch over her head, while “In God We Trust” and the year sit lower.
The United States of America’s coat of arms adorned the obverse side, which has the country’s name in bold lettering as well as the coin’s attributes: “1oz Fine Silver One Dollar”.

The United States Mint has the mission to manufacture and distribute a wide range of precious metal products to the American population, including circulating coins, precious metals, collectible coins and national medals. Its security features are unrivaled among many of the world’s leading mints, and since its model is self-sustaining, Americans do not pay for its operations.
It is one of the oldest branches of the American government, the United States Mint has a long and storied history that dates back to 1792. Buying a product from the U.S. Mint is akin to investing in the very essence of America itself.
